Khirad Waqif Nahin Hai | ख़िरद वाक़िफ़ नहीं है

 

ख़िरद वाक़िफ़ नहीं है नेक-ओ-बद से 

बढ़ी जाती है ज़ालिम अपनी हद से। 

ख़ुदा जाने मुझे क्या हो गया है 

ख़िरद बेज़ार दिल से, दिल ख़िरद से। 

This reason of mine knows not good from evil;
And tries to exceed the bounds that nature fixed;

I know not what has happened to me of late,
My reason and my heart are ever at war.
